Welcome to the
Iowa Jaycees website and thank you for your interest in the Iowa
Jaycees.
This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the Iowa Jaycees. Eighty years
is a pinnacle of success for any organization. Throughout our 80 years,
the Iowa Jaycees have helped build the Des Moines Airport; dedicated
countless hours to worthwhile projects such as Camp Courageous, the Iowa
State Fair Blue Ribbon Renovation and more recently Hurricanes Andrew
and Katrina Relief Projects. Many of our local members have used the
skills acquired in Jaycees to go on to serve as local mayors, State
Senators and even Congress Representatives. Throughout our 80 years, a
commonality has been for each administration to have the "Courage to
Fight" for our communities and members.
The website is a valuable resource for members and guests of the Iowa
Jaycees. Our members will find throughout the pages of the website
valuable tools and resources to help you. Tools you will find include
such things as: marketing logos, needed forms, programming and project
information, an interactive calendar designed for chapters to promote
their events to other chapters; the Iowa Jaycee "Communicator", our
monthly newsletter; and valuable contact information of our 2008 Board
of Directors and local chapters.
During the course of 2008, this site will be updated regularly. Whether
it be Blue Chip award winners to All-State information or flyer for
upcoming state and local events. As this is your site, please feel free
to send us your comments as we value your input.
If you are visiting us and not a member, we encourage you to please
check our chapter listings for a chapter near you. Many of our chapters
have direct links to their website. Please browse through our chapters
and give them a call about a project you make like to attend.
