Community Development

In Jaycees, we work hard on making our community a better place. Whether it's tackling a food drive for those in need, providing holiday gifts for families who can't afford the basics, or raising money to fight AIDS, Jaycees take a leadership role in communities across the state.

Collectively, the Iowa Jaycees raise over $1.5 million annually for community needs.  How? Through bringing in the best and brightest young adults to pitch in, try new things and experience teamwork at its best.

In Jaycees, you'll find that community development projects are the most heart-warming projects. Sure, our members are learning valuable leadership and team-building skills, but best of all, they're helping the community along the way!

Get involved with a local chapter today, and you'll find that there are lots of opportunities to get involved in your local community, and start making a real and lasting difference-many hands make light work!

"The purpose of life is a life of purpose ." -Robert Byrne
